Shaun_300 Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 That's about the only kind of snake we have up here, do see the odd black water snake though, not sure if that's the proper name for them, big long ugly buggers! Don't mind the garter snakes, especially if I see them from a distance before I'm right on top of them. Mostly been seeing chicken snakes around here lately, much rather see them than the cottonmouths and copperheads. dbHunterNY Posted May 17, 2012 Report Share Posted May 17, 2012 find lots around here... found three at the house here. they had a bit of an attitude not sure why. they were bigger garter snakes, not sure if that has much to do with it. kept putting one outside and it kept coming back into my garage... it didn't make out so well. Noticing crows carrying off what appears to be eggshells the past couple weeks. Dunno how many of those are turtles, turkeys, or snake eggs.
