Turkeygirl
Won't be able to hunt till Thursday but took a walk tonight and got some super pics I thought of the bird I have been working to get....think this is the bird I've been chasing last 2-3 years. Well when I missed him the other day, he only had 1 or 2 hens. Tonight he had 6!!!!

Turkeygirl
LOL! I was perched up on top of an old gravel pit looking down on him, so I'd say I was somewhere between 75-100 feet away, at least 50 - 75 feet up. My Kodak has a 12X zoom. He looked like he had some nasty looking spurs to boot.
dbHunterNY
looks like a good one... keep on him Ruth!
Turkeygirl
Well I kind of took this AM off....my body needed the rest, didn't get a chance to roost him last night but will be out tonight....hopefully catch him out in a field with his girls. Any tricks to hunting a bird with that many hens? Maybe some have gone to nest in the last couple days. I figure if i get my jake decoy back out, he's gonna be mad! dbHunterNY
yea even better if you have a full strutter but jake might work. if you call it has to be soft and basically cause the hens to come over by being curious. clucks and purrs i guess.
