gzilla45
Weather has been awesome so far this year which means I've been living on the course. This past weekend played in a scramble and shot 15 under which was only good enough for 3rd. Going to squeak in 9 holes tomorrow after work and then playing 18 Friday. Just ordered a Callaway Diablo 3 wood today. Hopefully it shows up by Friday afternoon.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Haven't played much, only 3 times so far. This past Saturday was our memorial golf outing for my uncle who passed away in Oct. 2010. I played with my 3 cousins (his kids) again and we shot 5 under. We use it to raise money to donate to charities. This year we donated the money to the Jimmy V foundation for cancer research. We raised around $3500 this year, which is about $1300 more than we did last year. Other than that I have played two 9 hole rounds. Have been hitting the ball pretty decent, but my putting has been horrible. Probably cost me about 6-7 shots a round. So instead of shooting in the mid 40s I am in the low 50s. Tominator
I think I'll actually play a few times this year. My youngest likes it a lot, and he's not bad for only being 10, so I'm thinking I'll have to get him out a few times.
Shaun_300
I've been out 4 times this year, twice in March down in SC, and twice up here. The girlfriend and I got out last night for 9 holes, I shot a 45 so I was happy.
Muff
Well still have my clubs....shot a 43 and could have been better if I did not miss 2 or 3 short putts.
deer slayer
Were getting a big group to go out this Sunday for the first time this year. I can't wait even though I suck
MCH
I've been quite frequently here lately. I'm throwing a tournament for the local Chamber of Commerce this Saturday. Trying to style it after the Big Break. Anyway, shot a 46 for 9 holes tonight which was a great round for me. The front nine has tight fairways and not great for my slice. Rhino
Played at least a dozen times so far but haven't been able to play the last couple of weeks. Been to the range too working with the new clubs. Bought an iron/hybrid set not too long ago...Adams idea A12 OS...added a 3 hybrid to the set. So far...love them! gzilla45
Speaking of golf....its 78 degrees(high of 84), sunny, and a light breeze out right now. This guy is leaving work early to go play 18!!

toddyboman
I wish. I use to play 3 or 4 times a week. Now I just can't seem to find the time. My son whom is only 4 seems to be showing some interest in golf as well as every other sport so maybe we can find some time to go soon. Shaun_300
Yeah 3 or 4 years ago I used to be either at the driving range or on the course every evening, was pretty good, I could shoot in the high 70s low 80s every time. Don't think I could break 90 now. I try and get out Monday nights with the guys from work.
MUDRUNNER
I've been to the range a few times and played 18 two weeks ago. Shot a 102 with 2 pars. Not too good, but could've been worse for my first time out in about 6 months. I'm going to try and get out at least once a month this summer. Ohiobucks
Played 9 with my boys last Thursday, shot a 44 (par 36). Only beat my oldest by 1 stroke...I finished with a bogey, quad, double. Played 9 with my youngest son, a friend and his son yesterday (par 31), and shot a 37....with an 8 on one hole alone. Par 3, hit two tee shots OB right before putting one on the front edge... Rhino
Played 18 last Wednesday with my son on Mississippi State's golf course in Starkville. I shot 88 beating my son by a few strokes. He took it in stride. Now...I played in Lafayette, LA Thursday afternoon and set a new record for myself in the Hall of Shame. Now, we were playing it down so no foot wedges, moving the ball, etc. I was 8 over par going into #9 and a stroke ahead of my buddy. After the 1st 2 shots into the water the wheels came off. Only 1 more shot hit the water after that though on that hole. When the ball finally rolled in the hole the talley was a 14. How in the heck did I get a 14 on one hole? Well I missed a 3' putt for a 12 blowing it 4' by and the 4' comeback for the 13. :clown: Who the heck wants to put a 13 on the card anyway! My buddy couldn't help but laugh while I was struggling through that. Me too after it was over. Managed to get back on track with just 3 over par on the next 4 holes (including another ball in the water) before we had to leave due to an emergency call from his wife. Thank goodness!!! BTW...my Hall of Shame hole was a par 4. Edited May 29, 2012 by Rhino

gzilla45
That's a cool site jbeck, thanks for posting that link. I might have to join. I usually just keep all of my scorecards for the year which is a pain to do so this will help greatly.

You can track your problem areas, it's really handy. I had to duck out of the office yesterday and hit a quick 18. Just couldn't pass up the sunshine when I knew 4 days of rain is coming. MCH
Shot 9 holes yesterday with my daughter. Didn't take score, but I averaged a bogey on each hole I'm sure. This was my first time out since hosting the golf tournament. After all the stress from organizing and putting it on, I didn't want to step foot on a golf course for a while! LOL Trying to get a buddy of mine into playing so I will have a partner older than 9. The majority of my good friends view golf as a "rich man's" game. I guess I don't blame them with the $40 fees and the big start up costs.

LOL I never buy new clubs I usually wait for someone to buy them and figure out it didn't help their game then get them hardly used for next to nothing. I play alot of courses after 2 so the rates are discounted. There are alot of courses around here competing for players so they are running coupons all the time. hilltopper1
I have yet to play a round. I've been to the range once and I shanked probably 3/4 of the balls I hit. I have yet to muster up the courage to actually play. Last summer I was playin about once a week and got where I could hit the ball straight with irons consistently. Hope to get back to that level this summer.
