RangerClay
I have a 2+ min. video recorded on my home digital camera that I want to upload and put on Facebook. Right now it's stored on an SD card. I've tried using a card reader and uploading to photobucket but it takes hours and hours to upload even with good DSL and never seems to finish. Is there a better and quicker way of doing this?
wtnhunt
I always have to edit my video before uploading it Joe, full quality video files are typically too large and photobucket to my knowledge had or maybe still has file size limits. My video editing software lets me save my videos in avi and mpeg formats, I save them to my external hd and upload them from there.
dbHunterNY
yea probably no easier way to do it, unless you use something to compress it or use a faster internet connection. maybe Mike would have more of an idea. he's always making and posting videos. toddyboman
I do the same as William. I edit my videos with software then compress the video to a smaller size before I upload. I have found youtube it better about uploading then photobucket....
ruttinbuc
Joe, a lot depends on what type of file your camera makes. AVI, .MOV,.AVCHD all need to be compressed. If you don't have an editing program you can convert the video with a video converter. I use this one: Free Video Converter - Any Video Converter Freeware, freely convert video to iPhone, iPad, Android, Html5 formats It is a fairly simple program to convert files. It will allow you to keep the file on the SD card and put the converted file in a folder in the program file. You then upload from there. Photobucket and YouTube use MP4 so that is what you want to convert to. Feel free to PM me with any questions. Right click on the file and open properties. It should tell you what it is. It really wouldn't matter for the converter. The end result is the important thing. There are a lot of editors out there from simple to complex. Windows movie maker is as simple as you can get. I think it is an add on to Windows 7 now.
