Ultradog
This is not the day for veterans. We celebrate the deeds and the sacrifices of our veterans on November 11th. Today is the day we celebrate those who did Not come back. Veterans are those whose names are found on emails and mail boxes and bank accounts, on college transcripts, tractor clubs, hunting licenses, as fathers of brides, on automobile titles, property deeds and church memberships. Today we celebrate, mourn and give thanks to those whose names are only found on tombstones and monuments. Please. Let's not confuse the two. wtnhunt
Thanks Ultradog...Yes you are correct, it is a day to remember the ones thAT GAVE ALL!.. I believe the post reflected that...( Fallen Heros )...not sure everyone "got it". Cannot speak for anyone else here Martin, but the families of those who have lost their lives while serving also deserve to be honored on memorial day imho. I really feel for the children who never get the opportunity to get to know their parent/parents, the sacrifices made by our "Fallen Heroes" hurt those they leave behind. Also without our troops, those who have past and present continued to serve we may not have the right to have our memorial day, so I Thank them and also continue to pray for those currently serving. Ravin R10 man
Thought it would go without saying we would be thinking of their extended family as well at this time..I agree William
