Rob Leathams Intro to Steel

Recommended Posts

I shot Robbie Leatham's "Intro to Steel" shoot last sunday before church. Did quite well. Came in 5 th overall and 2nd in Singlestack. I had the fastest Singlestack time (2.79 seconds) for the first run and second fastest by .01 second overall (a guy with an open race gun beat me). I'll be doing this more often, these drills are a hoot!

New York is one of the states where handgun ownership is difficult and NYC is one place we avoid like the plague if we have to make connections to fly to a match. Good luck. You may want to move. There are people who have moved here from all over the world just to shoot. We have the most talent and best facilities of any club in the world from what I gather. Yes, I reload. I shoot 45's for $14.00 a hundred, 9's for $10.80. The thing you strive for is to get good enough to get an ammo sponsor. It's better than having a manufacturer give you a pistol.

There was Luke's and Marker's farms there when I was younger. Just up off the old gravel pits. I'm one of the old outlaws from the area that finally quit drinking and accepted Jesus when I found myself in Colorado broke and nearly crippled. Small world indeed.

good things turned out for the better. yea by Marker's there's now a big all new horse farm/boarding place... lots of money into it. Luke's are my mother's first cousins. The son's are running the farm now.

...but anyway steel matches look like a ton of fun and i will most likely try my hand at them some day.
