dbHunterNY
went to a local club today for the first 3D outdoor shoot on the season for me. it was also a qualifier for the IBO championships. most of the targets were out there, but other than that wasn't many tunnels or tight trees or extreme up hill or downhill shots. i definitely was kicking the rust off though, because i shot a 272 for 30 targets. anyone else going to outdoor 3D shoots lately? dbHunterNY
yardage judging ability is a huge part of it. i've started practicing at the club next door on a range with targets in 10 yard increments out to 50 yards to burn those yardages into memory. then i just need to bring the range finder with me day to day and practice coming up with a quick estimate. with shooting i just need to do what the heck i know i'm supposed to do and i'll be fine.
