RangerClay
Tonight I'm grilling a big trout that my son caught. The trout is still whole, just gutted and not filleted. What is your favorite recipe for a grilled fish?

stevebeilgard
nice fish, joe. you have to be proud. sorry, i haven't cooked a trout in 20 years or so. when i did, they were little brookies of 8-10" and i just pan fried them in butter. Strut10
I'd grill it basting throughout with a bottle of Kraft Zesty Italian dressing. I'd use up the whole bottle. Cut the head off and grill it whole. When it's done, the skeleton will come out wholesale by pulling out and down (toward the tail) gently on the spine at the neck. The Rob Salamida Company - Hunter's Pride Products ...they make Spiede sauce in the southern tier.
Newarcher
I agree with simple grilling. For saltwater fish (snapper or amberjack) I like to chop up some onions, bell peppers, peaches or mangos, cilantro, salt, garlic and lime juice to make a really good peach/mango salsa and put it on top. gzilla45
I like to fill the chest cavity with sliced lemon, onion, butter and fresh herbs of your choice. Season liberally with black pepper and salt and wrap in foil. Grill until done. Delicious.
