slugshooter Posted March 9, 2005 Report Share Posted March 9, 2005 I can't recall anything being said on here about this guy so I figured I would get the ball rolling on this dude. If you don't recall or have any idea, this guy with no journalism experience was being given day passes into The White House press room and would subsequently lob soft ball questions to Ari Fleischer and now Scott McClellan, apparently noone batted an eye until he was given the opportunity to ask a question of George Bush. The problem I have with this guy is 1) No journalism experience and he "writes" for conservative news website Talon News which is basically a cut and paste news site with news anyone can get off the internet and he is admitted to the White House with press credentials even though there are journalists who have had their credentials revoked after covering the White House for decades. 2) Apparently, it is easy for someone to get into the White House under an assumed name while I can't even get on a White House tour anymore since 9/11. 3) The guy was a gay male escort at the same time he was a "conservative" news journalist and writing stories condemning the gay lifestyle at the same time he was being admitted to the White House. 4) It was harder for people to get into a Bush campaign rally than it was for this guy to get into the White House. Now, as much as I would like to bash Bush over this one, I don't believe he had any idea that this guy is who he is and was getting passes into the White House, nor do I believe Ari Fleischer knew this guy or Scott McClellan, but I strongly believe that someone knew this guy and quite possibly "used" his internet services and was giving up the day passes, bypassing the Secret Service vetting process to keep this guy quiet. Don't recall exactly what they were, but you could probably search and find them. I'm sure they were quite succint, as are all of my comments...
