coyote hunting

Yeah all depends on the law for baiting. FoxPro callers are great, I also use a dying rabbit squealer. I do more timberwolf hunting than coyotes, we have quite a few coyotes here around the city but up where I hunt it's mainly wolves. Good scope on the rifle is always good, I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x50 on my .220 Swift and it's great, low light is not a problem. Also use the .25-06 sometimes and it has a Bushnell Legend 4-12x40 on it, it's a great scope for the price.

Welcome to the forums Grit.

Check your state game laws about baiting. As far as calls go. I too use a FoxPro. A quality caller which the company backs up 1000%. Grab a few of Randy Andersons dvd's. I consider him to be one of the best predator hunters out there. Take a look and see how he does it. I have gotten lots of tips from watching his vids.

Good Luck.

i don't know how i forgot about that.... yes buy them all! the music teacher in him helps the DVD and it shows. "Primos mastering the art: coyote hunting" is your best bet for his stuff there's actually a couple "Mastering the Art" DVD's out there for coyote hunting. a newer version and an older version. i've gotten a bunch from various productions and his are by far the best.
