dbHunterNY
easiest way to call is to get a good electronic caller like by FoxPro or some other mfg. any time of day, but better in early mornings and late evenings. Baiting them will depend on your local laws in Ohio, so i don't know.
Shaun_300
Yeah all depends on the law for baiting. FoxPro callers are great, I also use a dying rabbit squealer. I do more timberwolf hunting than coyotes, we have quite a few coyotes here around the city but up where I hunt it's mainly wolves. Good scope on the rifle is always good, I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x50 on my .220 Swift and it's great, low light is not a problem. Also use the .25-06 sometimes and it has a Bushnell Legend 4-12x40 on it, it's a great scope for the price.
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Good replies above, get the best caller you can. Agree on checking your game laws on baiting, yotes will come to bait(especially deer carcases) and it is legal to kill/hunt them that way here. arrow32
Welcome to the boards. I use a lot of mouth calls. But right now the fawn distress have been working well aroun here from what I've been hearin. I've not had time to go out. I like to hunt them in evenings and in the mornings. Adjam5
Welcome to the forums Grit. Check your state game laws about baiting. As far as calls go. I too use a FoxPro. A quality caller which the company backs up 1000%. Grab a few of Randy Andersons dvd's. I consider him to be one of the best predator hunters out there. Take a look and see how he does it. I have gotten lots of tips from watching his vids. Good Luck.

Good Luck. i don't know how i forgot about that.... yes buy them all! the music teacher in him helps the DVD and it shows. "Primos mastering the art: coyote hunting" is your best bet for his stuff there's actually a couple "Mastering the Art" DVD's out there for coyote hunting. a newer version and an older version. i've gotten a bunch from various productions and his are by far the best.
