cowboy778
If you did not know there is a huge fire here in Colorado Springs. 11000 people have been evacuated and the fire is 0% contained and has threatened homes but so far no damage just pray for the Firefighters and the people for their homes. Right now I live down the mountain from it and you can not see it and it smells like a camp fire. colorado bob
Cowboy are you at Ft Carson? I see the the Academy is in the line of fire. Any chance of the Army being called out to fight it?
cowboy778
I am at Ft Carson. The Academy has evacuated the entire housing unit but the academy is still running. The Army is suppose to be training a Battalion now to help with the fire lines.
colorado bob
God's speed, Cowboy. Be safe. I won't make the RT elk hunt this year. If you still here in 13, maybe we can hunt elk down here in Durango. Bob
stevebeilgard
i heard this morning the air force has 4 c-130 ready to attack. i'll bet they start by saving the academy. at least i hope they do. what a local trajedy. that batallion of fighters and some military equipment sure won't hurt a thing. i have some firefighter friends there for 3 days now. god bless them all. Nut
My middle son Codie is serving a internship at Peaceful Valley Ranch near Lyons which luckily (so far) has escaped the fires. My prayers for all
