bowhunter97
i might get new broad heads and i was wondering which one i should get. Which ones do you thing i should get?
redkneck
Both will get the job done, just a matter of personal preference. You probably should be posting things like this in the bowhunting room. I did kill a couple does last year with the bloodrunners and will say they are one very tuff head. bowhunter97
I probably should and im sure it'll get moved. It was just a force of habit. Haha

hoosierhunter
The only question I have is why even consider shooting a broadhead that enters in a pin hole literally and might not have an exit hole? Even if the deer runs 60 yards, they can be tough to find without a blood trail!
redkneck
Good point, but bloodrunners are different they cut a decent hole with no expansion, and expand with a foolproof design. I just thought they had a bulky design.
mhampel82
Well I am in the same boat. I'm thinking about picking up shwacker as well.
bowhunter97
mhampel86 welcome to the forums. Also i shoot muzzy 4 blades right now but i need new blades for them and i want something that flies like my field points and has a bigger cutting diameter. So if it comes down to "hey get your stuff together were going hunting" or at night my dad surprises me with it like he has done in the past i want somthing that i dont have to go out and try to resight in my bow but i can rely on to make the shot for me. Thats all and to be honest i have grown so much in the past year that i will need new hunting clothes so i probably wont buy the broad heads with my bass pro gift cards i might buy new hunting clothes unless my dad does it for me. What happens happens.
mhampel82
Swhacker or NAP Bloodrunner? Well I'm going to bass pro this weekend a d most likely picking up shwackers ad when I shoot them I wi let you know. I know that they have a huge cut an that's what I love and want. I just have never used mechanical broadheads before and have heard bad things. Ie never opening up. But shwackers I have heard work pretty good. Squirrelhunter91
I'd go with the Shwacker if I were you. I've killed 2 deer with the NAP Bloodrunner 3 blade. And to be honest, for a broadhead with that name, I was not happy with the blood trails at all. Granted, both deer piled up in sight, but the blood trail just wasn't there. Fortunately, I made good double lung shots on both of them, but hardly a blood trail, and that's with a pass through! My buddy shoots the Shwackers and swears by em. I've seen first hand the blood trails they leave and it's much more impressive than my experience with the Bloodrunners.

I shot the 2-blades Joe and have to say they were pretty tuff heads, one blew through a back leg bone and was still in great shape, but agree with you on the blood trails. abrown
I'm eager to know more about Shwacker too! My friend gave me two packs of the new 100 gr. with a 2 in cutting diameter. I think I might use em, not sure, is there anyone else that's used them?
Ravin R10 man
If you want blood..Go with RAGE!..myself I prefer Wasp SST or Muzzy..shoot rage also with no comp, aints here.

dbHunterNY
i don't like swhacker's design. it allows for good penetration, but basically doesn't open up until after it enters the animal. if you smack into the opposite shoulder or leg bone and don't get an exit your blood trail very well could be some to none. NAP design is fail proof, as long as you can get it to fly sufficiently well enough like any other head.
Aaronlaw777
All good heads but rage is really forgiving when shooting and with bad hitts.
