Really? I thought tumors were benign all the time?

Not mine.

Actually, I took my son for his surgery consult today, and briefly talked to him about me as his student was checking my son. He said it's pretty common to have stuff in the liver. I asked him about surgery, he said "probably not." I guess they'll probably confirm if they are nueroendocrine tumors with an octreotide scan, then probably do a particular type of chemotherapy, then surgery if necessary.

That put me at ease a lot. Still waiting on the call from the specialist, which also leads me to believe this isn't a huge rush. My regular doctor is on vacation this week. I'll probably see him next week as my son's surgery is the 24th.
