Man, normally I'm pumped for the season to get here. It's tough to get motivated this year though. Usually this time of year I'm scouting, hanging stands, shooting every other day, checking trail cameras, and getting food plots ready. It's been so hot here (105 here right now) I haven't done any of that. We haven't had rain in two months, so i doubt I'll even put any plots in this year.

Ain't that the truth! We've been trying to do as much as we can but lately we've just been doing the bare minimum to avoid having heat stroke! Good luck to all; staying cool and having a good season! :)

season starts here in southern zone of NY on Oct 1st. I won't hit the woods until a week later, going to be on my honeymoon. I've been shooting in a 3D outdoor league every Tues, scoring around 300/330. also i've prepped a handful of spots for bow stands. all i have to do is climb up with a climber or hang a stand. couple cams are out now just surveying to see what deer are around, not to pattern anything yet. no food plots this year too dry and too much ag ground (alfalfa and corn) to deal with that.

I live in Madison county, but do most of my hunting in Bond and Montgomery counties. It made it to 107 yesterday. The local news said we've had 11 days of 105 and higher temps so far this summer.

That's to hot for me to even go in the back yard and shoot.

Yeah I've heard of Madison county and those other counties. We've had the same temps as y'all man the corn and beans is lookin really dried out and withered. I've shot my bow a few times around dark so it ain't so hot. I've only been out scouting once on a cooler overcast day a week or to ago, I'm hunting new land this year so I hope the heat breaks so I can do more scouting.
