Slash
Anybody own any of these pistols? Buds Guns has one for under $200 but I don't know if it's a waste of money or not, sure seems pretty cheap. Ashley and I took the concealed carry course a year or two ago and with all the stupid shootings going on around the country I think it might be time to arm ourselves. Not to mention the looming threat of losing our 2nd amendment right to bear arms. Anyways....opinions on Hi-Point welcome. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/268/products_id/56880/Handguns/Hi-Point
snapper
I wouldn't own one period...esp. for a carry gun! Maybe just a plicker gun...but honestly wouldn't waste my money on a gun that has a low melting point...lol
wtnhunt
Believe it or not I have actually read pretty good reviews on them. Don't think I would ever buy one, but I have a pretty well brand new 40 that belonged to my stepfather, I have not shot the gun though. If I had a carry permit, I would probably carry my ruger. m gardner
Get a Glock 19. Very good reputation for reliabilty and easy to maintain. The top three affordable pistols that we use to compete because they are accurate, reliable and last are Glock, XD and the S&W M&P. If you are only going to own one get a good one. Slash
I think that even though the price is ridiculously low, that it would be smart to pay more for a gun with a good reputation.
arrow32
It's funny you post about hi point we were just talking about them the other day here at work and how a guy I work with owned one one time. I quote "I'll never own another one of those pieces of junk or trade anything for one" but he also said that was a while ago and they might have improved. He said they were just cheaply made and it showed in use.
duk518
They're nice if you need an expensive paper weight, can't beat glock for price and quality
Jeramie
They are fine for paper shooting but not something i would carry for SD. They are heavy and not reliable. Every pawn shop in Oklahoma has them for little to nothing. My dad has a couple in .380 and 9mm. Both shoot OK but nothing to brag about. I would only own one to play with...
