bowhunter97
A tree stand or a ground blind? It is like 85 degrees here on opening morning and in all my hunting gear it is really hot.
arrow32
I'd think tree stand. No breeze in a blind if there would happen to be one. Just my thougt tho
Rhino
Cooler temperature wise...easily a treestand, especially if you're talking about a commercial ground blind. Many commercial blinds have a roof flap you can open to allow some of that heat held inside to escape. Natural blinds are cooler than commercial ground blinds simply because they allow for more air flow. Certainly aerial hunting is even better for air flow. During the course of the day the ground absorbs heat from the sun too and treestands get you away from some of that. Cooler from a hunting prospective...there's nothing like being at ground level with a deer, especially up close & personal. BTW...we bowhunted out of ground blinds in Africa last August (their winter). We used commercial blinds & natural blinds. There was always a breeze blowing during the day. The low temps ranged from ~30 to ~40 in the morning but it would warm up to anywhere from the low 70's to the low 80's during the day. One warm day a hunter was in a commercial blind and had taken a thermometer with him. The zip on the roof flap was stuck so he couldn't open it to release heat. That night he told us it got over 100 degrees inside his blind. He was miserable!!! Edited July 28, 2012 by Rhino
