Empty soybean field.

Tonight was the first night I have been able to scout a soybean field that i want to hunt in 2 weeks when archery season starts and i didnt see any deer come out. I did see a couple nice bucks in the next field over, but that field is off limits and they were about 150 or 200 yds away on the other side of the field. The problem is that i am putting out my climber and blind tomorrow so the deer will have time to get used to them. Should i abandon the field and look somewhere else, or was it most likely a fluke that i saw no deer tonight?

The deer in the field will no doubt find other food sources as the bean field yellows. Find deer sign in the woods around oaks on the way to the fields. Find the staging areas if at all possible. The deer will still use the fields but mostly because it is an open area they use to lounge at night. People make the mistake of hunting where they see the deer in summer. Things change with the seasons.
