Scbasshunter
I've only got 2 days to hunt opening weekend of archery season next weekend. I have my blind setup on a soybean field and think it will be my best bet at a deer (location wise). The problem is the wind wasn't right the day I set it up and I am afraid it won't be on the 2 days I have to hunt. My question is, would you hunt a stand with bad wind if you only had 2 days to hunt and it seems to be the best place to see deer? I will be in a blind with only a small window open in front of me. Plus I practice scent elimination as much as most people do.
whitetailfreak55
I wouldn't risk it but that's just me. If you have a climber I would set that up as an observation stand or a stand to hunt out of where the deer are coming out with better wind
Scbasshunter
I have a climber but I want to leave the area alone until I hunt it. But, I guess the point of a climber is to be able to go in, setup a stand and hunt immediately.
dbHunterNY
you can't hunt a wrong wind. under certain conditions you can hunt a marginal wind though. you can always setup a blind on the ground too, with some limbs and other natural cover you put in front of you. just remember if you can see the deers eyeballs, the deer could see you.
