Scbasshunter
I sighted my bow in with my broadheads and now they are dull or nicked up. Are they still ok to hunt with or should i get new broadheads. If i get new broadheads, will i need to sight them in also or does it matter as long as i use the same grain weight? whitetailfreak55
If they're just dull sharpen them if they're fixed blade but if they're muzzys or like a rage you'll more then likely have to get replacement blades
bowhunter97
That is why i use one broadhead to sight my bow in with. And i take as minimal shots as i can. So only one is dull and i can still use it as a last resort.
dbHunterNY
try and change the blades, sharpen them, or get new ones that are the same. keep the dull ones for practice.
Scbasshunter
I used 2 for sighting in and i kept 1 for hunting. I decided to shoot the one i saved for hunting just to be sure. It wasnt anywhere close to the one i was practicing with. The one i practice with is now dull and nicked up. Will new blades affect it or should it still be on target? whitetailfreak55
I would shoot them once Just to be on the safe side but That's just me. You should be alright
RangerClay
What brand/model broadhead do you buy? Me personally I wouldn't use them. I would buy replacement blades for my Slick Tricks.
Scbasshunter
I think it was the arrows. I bought Muzzys and put one on the arrow i use to sight in with and it was on target. Im not as serious into bowhunting yet to start messing with arrows.

RangerClay
When you are more serious, Muzzy sells replacement blades for their broadheads. In archery confidence is everything, and it always feels good to have nice new sharp blades on your broadheads. You own to your prey. Scbasshunter
I have 1 arrow that I have sighted my bow in with and i know that it hits where I want it to. I got new Muzzy MX3s and put it on that arrow to hunt with. This is my first time hunting with a bow, so if I even get 1 shot I will be happy. I am probably just going to have that 1 arrow with me, but like I said if I even get a shot i will be happy.
dbHunterNY
very humble words but please bring more than one arrow. lol you'll need it if you don't.
Maine Hntr
Like db said, please carry more than 1 arrow. No disrespect but you should be shooting more if you can only get 1 arrow to hit where you want, you should be able to group your broadheads similar to that of your field tips, you've got to be doing something wrong if you're only able to get 1 arrow to hit your mark. As people constantly say on here, practice, practice, practice.. you can only get better.
WStreblo
Broadheads I used to use muzzy 4 blades and would shoot them all at least once to ensure they were all good. Even if you sharpen them I would still shoot them again, you change the surface of the blade just a hair and it causes a change in the performance. I now use a rage 3 blade and sight in with the practice heads and found that my hunting broad heads fly true.
WStreblo
Broadheads Db hunter: I am an avid archery shooter and a rifle shooter and keep a ton of log books. Every arrow I own is numbered and I take a ton of notes on each arrow, i.e. How each arrow flys from different angles at varying yardage, I even shoot them in rain, extreme cold, etc. You would be amazed at the differences just in temperature differences. bowhunter97
Please bring more than one arrow. I will be totally honest. The first deer i shot at with a bow i shot 4 times at and hit him with the last arrow. The water was 2in deep and the deer ducked the other 3 so low that his belly was making the water splash. Flintlock1776
My Magnus fixed baldes hold their edge very well. Easy to sharpen up. If they break, send them back to Magnus for free replacement. Usually deer drop in their tracka when wacked with Magnus.
