redkneck
I live in Mississippi and it's illegal here. Game laws here are decided by the legislature and go into effect July 1, no rumors to so speculate on.

wtnhunt
Yep, check your states regs. Not legal here to hunt over corn or any bait, but a lot are doing it and it is a problem for our wardens catching them.

Dawg
I hunt alabama and its been rumored that this season that corn would be legal. Wondering if anyone knows if this is true or not Not according to the law there in Alabama. I. The Law Section 9-11-244 prohibits the baiting, feeding and simultaneous hunting of protected game animals and birds to the extent that the feed material constitutes a lure, attraction or enticement to, on or over the area being hunted. Regulation 220-2-.11(7), further establishes a ten (10) day waiting period after feed has been removed before the area may be hunted. It doesn't prohibit feeding, you just can't hunt over/around/anywhere close to it. Edited August 15, 2012 by Dawg

Flintlock1776
Legislation was being considered but I could not get an update if the amendment to permit baiting has passed: AONmagazine.com - Bill Allowing Deer Hunting Over Bait Progresses In State Senate - Alabama Outdoor News
Emcgehee
Corn leagal or not? There are always loop holes. For instance, if you have a corn field, it is acceptable to "accidentally" drop so much on the ground while harvesting. It never said it can't be dropped close to your stand!
