Jeramie
I used to be a hardcore gym rat from say 20 through 28'ish. We then had our first daughter when I was 29. That put an end to the gym... time has really become a luxury since then. My wife decided we need to get back into shape. I was happy with the thought so she bought P90X. We ran out and bought a little equipment to get started with. We kicked off Tuesday (14th). Its 90 days long.... Tough, tough stuff. It has literally been 6-7 years since I lifted. I still carry some mass so the lifting weights hasnt been a problem but some of the cardio....eek. Abs are horrible all together. Even when I was in the gym I rarely worked my core. It is really starting to motivate me again. Im buying a powertower today and thinking about what equipment im going to buy after the 90 days. Today will be day 4..... all I can say is ouch..... Jeramie
P90X has less cardio, lots of abs, legs, isolation exercise, etc. It feels good and hurts so bad at the same time. As of today I cant scratch my head and sitting down is a bit of a challenge. good part is I went back to a strict cutting diet. Between that and a few days of P90X ive already dropped 5lbs (since tuesday). Im 5'-7 3/4" and my goal weight is 180. Tuesday I weighed 196 Today, 191. Sometimes it just takes effort but sticking to any plan really helps. I figure by next week ill be in the 180's. Because it doesnt have as much cardio im looking to add running at some point in the future after ive settled into the routine. By the end of the cutting and the 90 days I hope to be around 180 or just a few pounds over.
redkneck
I'd like to try it. Got to close in my man cave first to have a place in my house for a power tower and weights. Keep us posted man and good luck with it!
dbHunterNY
i remember the first time i did it... by the time the first session was over i couldn't do another pull up or push up. you'll do a lot that's for sure. i've got everything down in my basement. 300+ sq feet of space and i still wish i had more. universal gym takes up a lot though. I have a 20x22 apartment on my place (ac, bathroom, kitchen sink, etc.). I use it for reloading and storage. After I get through I am going to make a Man Cave out of it...
