Shaun_300
A couple weeks ago my buddy called me saying his dog was taking horrible seizures and acting extremely violent while taking and coming out of them, this went on for a couple days then one evening at about 10pm he calls saying she's taken a turn for the worst, I rushed over to help and offered to take her to the vet with them, we all pretty much knew what was going to become of the trip. We took her into Ottawa and ended up not coming home with her, it was going to cost thousands to even figure out if it was curable. Bella was only a year and a half old yellow lab, full of love and loved hunting since she was a pup with Dave and I. She came every where with us, even deer hunting! We were all heart broken losing her. RIP Bella! Well this past weekend they call us saying we have a surprise, come on over. I kind if figured what the surprise was. When we opened the door we were welcomed by their new pup, Reese. She's 11 weeks old, pure bread black lab and as cute as a button. Her favorite thing to do right now, sleep! LOL Already plan on taking her hunting with us this year to break the ice, she may not be old enough to retrieve but I know she'll still have a blast.:clown:

Flintlock1776
We just went through that a few months ago too. Taking you dog in for that one-way trip is heartbreaking. After a few weeks, we got a Plott Hound from the local rescue. Some health issues and some $$$ later we have a really awesome dog. Good luck with your new addition.
