Scbasshunter
Has or does anybody shoot a Martin Cheetah? I am looking to purchase a new(er) bow and the Martin Cheetah seems to have the best prices all around. I am skeptical when somebody is selling a bow for $250. Any advice on this bow would be helpfull.
redkneck
Martin makes good equipment. Bows depreciate quickly, ESP when they weren't one of the premier bows for that year.
Scbasshunter
Would you hesitate to buy a Martin Cheetah for $250 online (such as Craigslist or Amazon)? I realize that with Craigslist, you never know how somebody cared for the product, but assuming it is in good condition, do you think it is worth it or not? Also, can you put a regular string suppresor on this bow. I don't think I like the one I have seen on some Martin bows.
dbHunterNY
i believe it does have threads on the back of the riser under the grip to mount an aftermarket string suppressor. don't know how much they go for so i'm not sure if you're getting a deal or not. redkneck
I wouldn't. Its the start of the season, if your current set-up bothers you that much, check out a pro shop and look for a good trade-in that fits your budget. There's a good bow in every price range, just sold my old Fred Bear last year to a buddy for about that price, nothing wrong with it, just time for an upgrade. Folks flood the market with trade-ins this time of year, just find one you like, but I sure wouldn't switch right now.
Scbasshunter
What about the Martin Exile? Does anybody know much about this bow?
Ethan Givan
Martin makes good stuff. I wouldnt hesitate to buy one, their customer service is good also. Like redkneck said, I wouldnt want to switch bows this time of year.
Scbasshunter
Alot of people shoot a Martin, so they must be doing something right. I just wonder if they put the same amount of effort into all of their bows or just some of their higher end bows. At around $250, Martins are the lowest price bows I can find online. I want to eventually upgrade which is why I am looking now. I like to do my research I guess. I just always seem to question it when I find a product that says it is just as good as others, but is a much lower price. With that being said, the price I am finding is for the bow only. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Flintlock1776
I think all the major barnds put a lot of effort into their products, it is a matter of budget and personal choice
