Scbasshunter
Here are a couple of bows I have found online in my price range that seem to be good bows. I plan to shoot these bows before I buy them, if possible. You guys have more knowledge on this subject than I do, so please give me your honest opinion. Scbasshunter
Also, will these bows be able to have a string stopper put on them? For some reason I feel like I NEED a string stopper for a bow to be quiet. Not sure if it is necessary, but it seems like most bows nowadays have one on them. redkneck
Don't know much about the spider, the bear should be a decent shooter, those came out around 3 years or so ago. Should serve you well.
535hunter
Is there a pro shop around where your at to check out some bows you like and then search the web for that paticular bow. That way you know the feature that it has for sure. As for the string stop, if it doesnt have a place for it on the back of the bow then in most cases you can pick up a front mounted one so really you can be more flexable with your searches and selections. redkneck
Also forget about the string stop. You don't need it, and any stop you can get put on is going to look like crap IMO.
Trevor
I have a pse stinger that has the same nrg cam system. It is very easy to adjust the draw length and let off. You can have a string stop installed on the pse. You will have to get the string served were it makes contact with the string stop. Pse makes a string stop for there bows called vibracheck. I would also recommend adding limb bands I also had them put on my bow and it definitely made a big difference in the noise and vibration from stock. redkneck
Personally I would stick with a parallel limb design no matter what brand you end up with.
Trevor
I was just on the pse website and I did not see any info on the spyder so it may be an older discontinued model. May be worth checking into so you don't end up with a bow you can't get parts for if something goes wrong like needing new limbs. Look into a pse stinger I like mine a lot and it shoots great with a good price.
Flintlock1776
The Spyder has been out a long time: PSE Spyder Specifications - All Years & Modifications I would recommend you checking out new or used bows at a local Pro Shop. If they sell it they should be able to service it regardless of the year/version good luck
Shoobee
Before anyone buys a bow, I believe they should go to an archery shop and try shooting a few. This will tell you what feels best for you. There is such a big difference between them, that picking one off the internet could be a major disaster. RangerClay
What are you willing to spend on a bow? Just curious?
