Ground blind setup

I was just wondering if anybody hunts from a ground blind and if so do you set it up and leave it in the woods or do you set it up and take it down in the same day. The land I hunt is private property owned by a friend of the family but in the past we have had some trespassers so I dont want to leave my blind in the woods. So do deer get spooked if I but up my blind and take it do when I leave.

I hunt out of pop-up style ground blinds and tree stands both. I normally setup them up before season and leave them up all season and only take them down if relocation is necessary but most of the time they stay where I originally place them all season. I too hunt private land at a cattle farm in NE Arkansas.

Depends on where I'm at. Sometime I hunt in a small patch of woods behind the house, I'll leave it up then. Our deer camp for our gun opener is in the upper peninsula so I don't put my blind up until we get up there, usually 2-3 days before the opener. It hasn't really mattered so far, I see deer all the time in that spot.

We leave the blinds up for the duration of the seasons. We hunt only patrolled private family property. So we do not have theft issues. I would think scent getting all over the blind by transport and storage would be bad. So the blinds stay until the season is over. If you are worried about it. Set up a hidden trail cam nearby.
