speedjunkiejp
Don't hammer me on the topic please. I'm just curious, I was watching a show and watched a guy drop one from 64yds out. This is my first year so.I have no plans reaching past 25-30yds. What is everyone's farthest bow kill.
redkneck
Probably around 45. I practice at 50 but try everything possible to get shots less than 40 if at all possible.
hoosierhunter
Farthest bow kill There are a few questions that provoke problems and this is one of them. I think we are all best to just let this go unanswered..........
dbHunterNY
82 yards on a foam deer. it even fell over where it stood. a live deer i shot at 27 yards and i think that was the farthest. for critters i got a squirrel at exactly 40 yards while on stand one morning. Griz
25 yards for me... It's not because I can't, It's because It's really thick here and 25 yards is going to be about it...

youngbuck06
Farthest bow kill Farthest bow kill on a deer was 35 yards, i practice out to 50 on a regular basis and occasionally 60 but i always try to ensure if i can that all of my shot opportunities in the woods are around 30 yards at max! bbarcheryhunter
34 yds. Is the farthest for me. I practice at 40.
PotashRLS
Of a few dozen with the bow, 27 yards was the farthest. It is also the farthest attempted. Paying attention to the little things with stand placement and sign interpretation often helps with ensuring closer, more high percentage shots. Jeramie
25 yards for me... It's not because I can't, It's because It's really thick here and 25 yards is going to be about it... Another okie with the same reason. Probably the farthest was around 20 - 22 yards. It was a crossbody shot so it was hard enough. I would take a longer shot but have had no need in all of the years ive been hunting.
Adjam5
I practice at 40...Killed a big ole doe with a 42yd shot 2 years ago. She ran about 20 yards and piled up. That sound of the arrow penetrating the chest cavity is so distinctive. I love it!
jbeck
I hit a doe a little back one day at 22 yards, she stopped at 57 yards and I made a perfect double lung on her. Only reason I tried that was to shorten up the tracking job, most have been under 30 yards.
bghunter777
I shot a doe at 40 yards last year that was my farthest to date

Gimme a break...I type slow Ben...dropped some pics of 2 MO bucks in the photography forum right after this post. I hope the drought & heat up in MO is the reason they slowed down some.
