Just entered my 8 point so we have a few more points. Blackpowder starts Saturday but I'll be in the woods with my bow. Only have one buck tag left for the year and I want a trophy bowkill. Still plan on taking two weeks of the first of November for the rut. Hope to upgrade by then.

Well guys thought tonight id have one for the wall. Cold front pushed in last night so i was pretty excited about tonight. Im sitting in my stand (public land) and i heard some rustling around so i got all ready and was waiting for the buck to come out and a GUY walks out straight to my stand and asks what im doing(really?!) i said well i was deer hunting but not anymore. He says ok turns around and walks away. So i get down and walk out hopefully tomorrow is a better sit lol

Other than being a little too windy for my liking, its darn near perfect to be in the woods here. Went out this morning and saw a few does/fawns. Trail cams show that buck movement is still all at night. Got a good wind for the stand I'm currently sitting in, and hoping to have a fat doe or good buck stroll by before dark.

Had shot opportunities each of the three times I went out, but all the deer were too small for my liking. There were fawns, 1 1/2 yr old does that were small, and a 1 1/2 yr old buck. Did see the small buck chasing some does around, so it looks like the little bucks are starting to get frisky. All movement I witnessed was within the first and last 30 minutes of daylight.

I'll be heading the 2 hours 15 minutes back to my hunting territory again next weekend.

One more day at work and then I'm off for two weeks!

Plan on hunting my lease close to home up until Thursday and then a friend and I are heading up to our lease that's 1 1/2 hours from here in Push county. I have 3 more doe tags and 1 more buck tag. In a perfect world, I'd use two doe tags in Push and then harvest a wall hanger on November 12th(favorite day to hunt).

Hey guys, reporting in, I haven't abandoned yall. Been hitting KS pretty hard, I've seen alot of young bucks, but only a couple of machure ones. I shot a 9 pointer, but hit him too high, and the opposite shoulder stoped the arrow, found a little blood, no arrow, so I'm hoping he made it!! Had a NICE 8 coming into a grunt and rattle, then the dang deer feeder went off!

Yesterday morning was a great morning! I had a very huge 8 pointer come in about 6:40 am and my stand popped so he just looked up then walked around me after about a 10 min stair down. I then stayed standing up and I kept hearing grunts across the river where the big 8 came from. I turned back around to see another smaller 8 standing at 50 yards. I then grabbed the bow and figured that he looked good enough for first blood of the year. I shot him at 30 yards with my bowtech destroyer 350! He ran about 50 yards into the wooded timber along the river. I then had another smaller buck come in and he was hopping in the CRP and came to where I shot the 8 and did a 360 and then went around me. A little bit later I then saw 4 does with a smaller buck heading my way. They came in so fast that I misjudged the doe and shot under her. Clean miss and off they went. Here is my buck and video of the little buck turning around. That video was taken with my iphone 4 "2nd to last picture"!
