Thank you all! Not a stud but will take since that is the first deer worthy of drawing back on. I should of let him walk knowing that there are some bigger ones out there but I am on my last week of vacation. I also am thinking back to when I passed before and never got a buck that year. So your danged if you do and danged if you dont. I still have one more buck tag so I can hold out for a wall hanger. I will be out tomorrow morning, Friday morning and evening, Saturday & Sunday morning and evening, and then Monday morning. I go back to work after that and will only make it out on the weekends. I will get a few more deer due to seeing some every time I go out just no wall hangers yet. My trail cam are getting them at night but nothing during the day. I will be swapping out trail cam memory cards tomorrow to so I will post anything good!

Congrats on the buck Stone Cold!

Heading up to the camp after work Saturday at 1pm in high gear to get to the camp and hunt the late afternoon. Kinda sucks the sun sets at like 4:30 here now after the time change. I'll hunt hard Sunday then unfortunately have to come home Sunday night to work next week. I'll probably head back up Friday night after work to hunt Saturday and possibly Sunday. Looks like the weather will be back up in the low 40s and low 50s for sunday with showers unfortunately. Low of 14 tonight, wish it'd stay that way!

Well this must be my time to share the wealth with the fellow hunters around me! Last year if you all remember a buck was killed by a guy across the field from me. I had trail cam pictures of him. It happened to me again! A distant family member got him! This is the buck that I call Shank! He was a 6x3 and I had a bunch of video on him from past two years. Here is a clear video of him and then with Dave who now is the owner of him.

Went out today to see my 11 point buck in my truck only 10 yards off the road. I sat in the stand for a long time to only see two button bucks. Then on the way out I saw my 11 pointer again and he only moved 50 feet. He is with a hot doe and did not want to leave her at all. I would of tried a sneak but he was on a different owned property so I did not do it. I think I could of got him if I did. Here are a few pictures of the big fella.

From the reports I've been hearing from my brother, business has really picked up since this cold front went through on Sunday. He's finally been seeing bucks on their feet during daylight hours. With gin season starting Friday, I would expect a good number of bucks to go down around our area.

Well i had a half day today at work so i got to my stand about 130. Around 330 i seen this doe coming out she was walking normal not being chased or anything so i figured this would be my chance to fill my doe tag. She came in and turned broadside at 30 yards and that when i smoked her. A little forward but hit the heart. I got to watch her pile up 30 yards from where i shot her.
