hoosierhunter
Team 5 Well everyone I look forward to it. I know from years past that USAF can put some big deer down! I'll do my best to keep you guys posted. I'm chasing some very good deer this year that I have not discussed on here. If I arrow one though chances are he will be special. I'll be hunting IN and KS. Just bow for me as well. How is everyone's season looking?
bowhunter97
Thanks hoosierhunter. And i dont know why but the bucks from were im hunting disappeared and we cant shoot does anymore and the honey hole i sat 11 hours in yesterday produced nothing but we know why. Its gunna sound wierd but the water wasnt deep enough. Every other we have gone in there it has had 8-12 inches of water and in the deepest spot it gets about up to our waists and we have always seen deer but yesterday it was only about 5 inches deep in the deepest spot. And we just had issac come through!! And there were 3 rubs aroud me. 2 were off to the left of me 80 yards and 1 was like 60 yards out infront onf me and they were all on 2 1/2 inch trees. RackBlaster
Hey team, I will be heading up to Wisconsin in 2 weeks for a couple of days then back here in Illinois Oct. 1st. I set up a few more stands this year for the wind directions and planted a couple food plots where I have managed to change the pattern of the deer so my chances are great for a west wind which kills me all the time. Good luck everyone
mikewink
Hey Guys, Just checking in. Season starts in a couple weeks. I probably won't hit the woods to mid next month. Looking forward to the season I've always got some nice deer running around my property. Mike
hoosierhunter
Here's the hitlist from one of my farms. Goal Post should go in the mid 130's and Wide 8 is over 130 as well. I probably won't shoot goalpost because I think he's 4.5 and he had a great jump this year. The wide 8 is fully mature and will be a hitlist buck. Grumpy is 7.5+ I think and I've been trying to kill him since 2009. He has became very visible in the last two years and this might be the year! Splitter is a 160+ that we think he could top 170 now. He's at least 4.5 which I consider a shooter for this farm. I leave for Kansas on Sept 26th to hunt our lease down there. We have been running cameras since 6-10, but have not checked them. I'm sure I'll have some deer to post when I return from that. Total the hitlist is around 10-12 bucks this fall not counting the Kansas farm. I can't wait for Sept. 15th!! hoosierhunter
check that grumpy is the second deer and splitter is the 3rd.
