Sounds like a fairly successful hunt tedicast. Great day when you can keep in close for that long.

Well...another disappointing run on the trail cams. Mostly does, spotted fawns, very young bucks, & pigs. Got one mature 6 point that's not as big as the 7 I posted last week. Little far from the cam but no doubt it's another one I know from last year. Moved the cams to check out some other spots. We'll see what happens at those spots.

Heading to Missouri Wednesday. Will be there for 7 to 9 days. We'll work on farm chores in the morning and bowhunt the afternoons. We have 10 cams up there right now that have been running since August 26th. Going to have a lot of pics to go through up there at night.

Nothing new to report from here. Still another week before our season gets going. Unfortunately it starts on a Monday, so I have practically two more weeks before I'm able to get a sit in. I'll be taking my 8 year old daughter for a few of the early hunts. The two person stand is up and we got her safety harness in the mail last week, so she is ready to go. I still have two stands in the garage I need to get up, but I'm a little undecided on where to put them. I'll probably wait till a few more leaves fall and I can get a few more trail cam pics before deciding.

Hey guys. Not sure how to put this but here goes........some unfortunate events have taken place in my life over the past few days. I'm not sure how these events will affect my "extracurricular" activities. Lord willing, I will be in the woods some this season, I'm not sure just how much. Beings my participation could be limited I'll leave it up to the team to either replace my spot or keep me on. I would hate to keep you guys from winning by my possible lack of participation. My apologies in advance.

Corey...we all hunt when we can...some more than others. Not unusual for some teammates to only get to hunt a handful or 2 of times each season on teams I've been on before. Just the way it is! Don't worry about it. Spend what time you can enjoying your hunts whenever you can get out. Other than that, take care of what you have to do first. We all have to set our priorities and deer hunting is not tops on the list.

Thanks Al.

If you leave, that changes our "un" official team name. I for one don't want that. You take care of what you need to. We will all still be here as part of the "2 Corey's and a bunch of other yahoos" team when you get your stuff worked out. Hunt when you can and soak it all up.

Good Luck to you

Corey...I can totally relate to lifes unexpected twists. I have been dealing with the exact same thing the past few years, between my father passing, and my moms declining health, and the wife being out of work...Hang in there....drop me a line if you need a shoulder....I've been there!

I have been out twice this season, first time I seem two does out of range and the second just a bunch of squirrels. I'm going back out in the morning to see what I can get done,I'm gonna go to where there are a couple of oak trees that should be dropping. I also have to take corn up on hill, put up a camera and sow some wheat in a logging road for a food plot. I feel good about in the morning so I prolly won't see anything,I hope so. Good luck guys.

Got my stand hung yesterday afternoon and sittin in it today. Had what I thoughtwas a doe go by at 55 and lost it in the thickness and circled around downwind coming down my trail and ended up being a little fork buck. Came within 5yards of my stand and grazed off. All of this withing 15 minutes of being in stand. It's still early so we will see what happens
