The_Kat
My mustang has developed a nasty habit and I'm not sure of the culprit, but I'm sure its fuel pressure related. When I take off in first if I mash on it sometimes it cuts out.....it doesn't sputter likes it's sick.....it cuts all power like the damn engines off for a half second or so and then regains itself. It's especially noticeable if I'm taking off as hard as I can running a 1/4 mile. Fuel pump? Fuel filter? Any ideas? I got embarrassed today by another mustang when this thing acted up on takeoff. Shaun_300
Are you sure it's not the traction control kicking on?

Have you checked the fuel pressure Kyle? Is it bogging down like it is getting too much fuel or is it like a hesitation? Some of the mds systems on some of these newer vehicles for some reason seem to hesitate sometimes, don't know if your car has that type system or not but if there is a hesitation would guess that could have something to do with it, if that were the case might be something that could be checked with diagnostic testing. LETMGROW
We need year, make and model as well as the engine size before we can help much. Is it totally stock or are there aftermarket parts on the engine? Irregardless the first thing to do would be get a fuel pressure tester on the engine and check the pressure under the fault conditions. If I had the info I needed I can give you the specs. Shoobee
This could be either fuel quality or fuel pressure due to the fuel pump. If you are running highest grade octane gasoline in it, then it is probably the fuel pump.
