arrow32
Pit Bulls Hard to tell, thay usually covered in blood. Really? That right there gives them bad raps. Walk outside any dog can attack. Not just a Pitt. Pitts are good dogs. Like said no color specific. Cousin has one that is brown.

I have a female now her name is Missy and I've never used a leash on her because she follows me EVERYWHERE I go.
VermontHunter
This is one of those topics like religion and politics that can get ugly quick ... With that being said I wll post this link for all to read ... DogsBite.org Releases 3-Year Fatality Study: U.S. Dog Bite Fatalities January 2006 to December 2008 In the 3-year period from 2006 to 2008, pit bull type dogs killed 52 Americans and accounted for 59% of all fatal attacks. Combined, pit bulls and rottweilers accounted for 73% of these deaths. DogsBite.org Releases 3-Year Fatality Study: U.S. Dog Bite Fatalities January 2006 to December 2008 - DogsBite.org I will conceed that any animal can turn ugly quick, it's the damage they cause in a short amount of time, that is the underlying concern in my opinion. deer slayer
This is Missy she's by far the best dog I've ever owned, she gets along with other dogs and people. She only listens to me and if you try to hurt me then she'll make sure you don't touch me. She plays with my 2 year, 5 year old cousins and loves to greet the horse lol. It's that lock jaw they can get that'll tear you up Lock jaw is just a myth it's not true they really don't have lock jaws. But I agree with you we've had two pits and two rotts and I hate how those breeds get discriminated, it ain't the dogs fault it's the retarded owners who make their dogs mean. I'm lookin to get a papered Rott. I grew up with the two but they passed away a long time ago, so now it's my turn to get one!
VermontHunter
You are correct deer slayer they don't have locking jaws ,,, it's the unbielvable jaw strength they have that does all of the damage, and they can do alot in a short amount of time, with me saying that, so can't a German Shepard, this is why the Military love Shepards, thier attacks are quick, swift and decisive. I've seen it first hand while I was a MP in the army. I think where Rotties and Pitbulls get the bad rap more than most is they seem to snap ( get aggressive ) quicker than other breeds. NOT, everyone is a great dog owner, this is the down fall of most animals... Humans tend to be stupid ( complacent ) with thier pets. Again, this is just my opinion .. bowhunter97
We used to have one named madison and she was a great dog. Her son though had mental issues and killed one of our labs at the time by ripping his throat out one day when i was in pre k ay school. I loved the dog then after that we out him down andhe was only about 2. He didnt have rabies or anything either. I wouldnt hesitate to own another pit. wtnhunt
Hard to tell, they are usually covered in blood. Any dog has potential to be covered in blood. Pure bred dogs raised right typcially have a very good disposition, even dogs bred with mastiffs and bull mastiffs for size usually will also be very good natured animals. This is one of those topics like religion and politics that can get ugly quick ... With that being said I wll post this link for all to read ... Debate over pit bulls in my opinion Luke kinda resembles gun control. The dog in many cases is not responsible for how it is raised and treated and sadly even though they end up hurting someone it is a responsibility of the owner as well in my opinion. A lot of the problem with those attacks that happen is the owner. Some people have no business owning an animal just like some have no business having a gun. Too bad we can't ban stupid or idiots. Note that they say pit bull type dogs with this Luke, you know a lot of dogs get lumped in that group that may be boxers or other mixed breeds that look like something they are not. No telling how many times I have seen a dog called a pit bull when it was not. What is the color of pit bulls Variety, can range from solid white to solid tan/reds or solid brown to brindles and spotted.
