Ethan Givan
Had a busy night last night. Me and my younger brother Seth, both went out yesterday evening. He was hunting behind the house, and I went to the other farm about 20 min down the road. The first doe came by me about an hour and a half before dark, and I knew it was gonna be a good night. Then my younger brother calls me and says he has a doe standing in front of him and wants to know if he can shoot her. I tell him sure, go for it!! He calls me back 10 minutes later and says he shot her, not sure about the hit though. I pack my stuff up and slip out and head home a good 45 min before shooting light is over. I get home, and me and dad and Seth head back to the stand he was hunting. We found blood almost immediately and followed a great blood trail about 90 yards and found her piled up. He had hit her a little foward but still got in the chest and got all those arteries. The worst part of the night was dragging her through some of the thickest stuff on the farm, uphill the whole way. He is 16 years old, and this is his second deer with a bow. Very proud of his accomplishment and it should be some good eating.
