txsbuda
Good morning all, wondering if there are any East Texas Hunters out there. I've been hunting near the Crockett National Forest the past few years. At times during bow season I've felt like the rut was on, but I usually end up having to leave a day or two after rifle season starts so I never really get to see if the rut is on or not. It's crazy, but come Thanksgiving, deer seem to vanish for the rest of the season. Any E-Texas hunters experience the same thing? What strategies do you use at any point of the season, bow or rifle. (I say rifle, but I actully enjoy bow hunting at that time rather than rifle.) Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!!
