Scbasshunter
I've never used corn, or any bait for that matter, but if I put a pile of corn out and the deer don't like it, will it spook them away or will they just ignore it? Also, if they do like it, how long after putting it out should I hunt over it?
wtnhunt
Used corn at a camera here in the past in the off season, like late January to see what we had make it through the season. If you have raccoons around you will be probably doing more to help them than to help the deer, but yeah deer will eat corn from a pile and if they are nearby they should find it fairly quickly. Tominator
If you put it out, they will come, but as William said, coons usually clean up more than the deer.
arrow32
Corn pile. Have used corn in a feeder on cameras at times. They will come to it. But like said got quite a few pictures of coons. Was out one time and the feeder went off they must get use to the noise and know that means there's corn and there were deer around it within 5 minutes.
