Too new to the market to find a host of people using them. Im sure they will have the same effect that the standard rage has.

Some people love the rage overall. Some people cuss them as just another mechanical. I bought some last year and have yet to shoot one through a deer. After buying them im not too impressed with their construction but I will try them to see if they are worth all of the hype....

After a terrible year bowhunting last year (I just could not get a blood trail and lost three deer), I purchased six of the 2" Rage 2-blade heads. On my first actual hunting trip of the year, I had a group of does come past my stand at about 15 yards. I shot the lead (and largest) doe in the group.

The entrance hole was a vertical slit a bit over two inches long, the exit hole just a bit smaller but still about two inches...the shot was a bit low and only got one lung...the doe ran wide-open for 40 yards, stopped and looked back, then fell over dead.

After 20 yards or so, the blood trail was good increasing to amazing.

The shot was a complete pass through, and the broadhead appears to be undamaged...I will clean it up and touch up the blades just a bit with a small diamond stone...then try it again...

chisel tip rage

I shot a doe. Broadside. Square in the shoulder at 42 yards. Was NOT a complete pass through. Ended up with one of those new three piece arrows. She was dead before she flinched. She ran nose in the dirt for 20 yards max before crashing into a hedge tree. Rage chisel tip. Works good. Frame is in good shape. Blades destroyed.

  • 4 weeks later...

I took an average sized Missouri buck this year with the 2-blade. 30 yard slight quartering away shot, basically broadside. Busted thru the back part left shoulder blade and a rib then busted thru a rib on the right side and straight out. He just stood there for a second, took a half step back and fell on the spot. Nice entry hole, nice exit hole. No complaints.

Set up was...quest primal #70, 30in Victory v-force with FOBs and of course the rage.

They also do the job on turkeys!!
