Scbasshunter
Does anybody use Lumenoks? It seems to me that deer would be able to see the light and give them an extra step on ducking the arrow?
Maine Hntr
Just bought some this year for first time... I wouldn't be concerned with them seeing the light, deer are quick animals but with an arrow traveling 250 to 300+ feet per second on a 25 yard shot they would have approx. 1/4 of a second to react to the light... They are more apt to react to the sound of the string vs the light... Also most lighted noks are barely visible from the sides and front, mostly from the back only
Ravin R10 man
thATS NOT GOING TO BE AN ISSUE. Thats like sayin a fly is going to see it's rear end before it hits.. the windsheild.....LOL
Bowmadness2186
Lumenok They work great been using them for 3 years and wouldnt hunt without them. Makes it really easy to spot your arrow in low light conditions.
Rhino
Thats like sayin a fly is going to see it's rear end before it hits.. the windsheild.....LOL Ditto. The only reason I don't use them anymore is they don't fit the shaft of my arrow worth a flip. Difficult to sand them down without breaking those thin wires. On occasion, i do use the ones made by Easton that turn on when they pass by the small round magnet that attaches to the bow.
Leo
I've found the Nockturnals to be much more reliable for me.
Pass_Thru_Archery
X2 on the Nockturnals. Those things are amazing. I don't believe that using these will add any more advantage to the deer, but don't underestimate how quickly they can react. I was shooting a bow that was putting out nearly 275 FPS a few years back and went from a perfect double lung shot to a spine shot that dropped the deer. The deer was only about 17 yards, but was at full alert because I bumped the sampling nest to me while at full draw and spooked the deer. He had me busted but I figured at 17yrds broadside, I had him. I aimed a little low cause I knew he was on alert and would react, but I never would have imagined that in the fraction of the second that it took my arrow to travel 17 yards that he would drop nearly the distance of body. It made for easy tracking but I was no more than 2 inches from a complete miss. Just food for thought.
ckrich
I've found the Nockturnals to be much more reliable for me. Yessir, that's the best lighted nock on the market.
92xj
Turn your arrows around and shoot them braodhead first and they won't see them.
