I'm not much for names, however, "late-comers" or "slackers" seems appropiate.

My season starts Oct 1. Headed to Wyoming for goats the first week of Oct. I usually don't get too excited until early Iowa muzzleloader which starts Oct 13th. Then it's archery into the rut season. I'm usually good for a doe other than that it's a wall-hanger.

good luck to all

Glad to see we made it. The hunting contest is ALWAY FUN!

I am all about having fun as I have every other year. The team that wins is always the team the post the most DEER. Regardless if its a doe or a buck!

So lets get some deer down!!

I have been a real slacker this year in hunting. With starting a new business(www.shoematearmsllc.com), family and life just haven't had time to do the prep work like I normally do.

Heck I haven't even shot my bow one time yet this year. I figure I should start soon. I did just put my trail cameras out so we shall see what comes of that.

Only planted 2 food plots this year. Which was on purpose as the wicked drought would have killed them. But the 2 late ones I put in have gotten good rains and are looking pretty good!

The MO season started Sept 15. Unless I have a buck patterned I generally don't start until Mid to Late Oct. THat will be here before I know it!

I agree 110%!!!

Hey Everybody!

This is my first contest so I'm really excited! I'll be hunting VT rifle (11/10 - 11/25) and NY Northern Zone rifle (10/20 - 12/2) for a buck. I also applied for a special shotgun season in Southern NY (1/7 - 1/27) which would allow me to take either gender. There are some really high herd concentration areas down there so I hope I get that permit!

I've gotten some scouting done close to home and my gear's in order now just gotta sight in the rifle. Our weather in the NE has been great compared to a lot of the country, had a dry spell early in the summer, but late summer was plenty wet. Mast crop looks to be good. Weather has been great past few weeks cool at night, we've had a couple frosts already.

Good luck everyone, be safe!

PS: Late comers sounds good!
