muggs
I changed my rest and need to put a release cushion on the string. I bought some at Gander, but they didn't come with instructions and based on the laws of physics, I don't understand how I can this on the string without. They came with a little metal tool that has me even more confused. Anyone know how to get these on the string?
Bowmadness2186
you have to take the string off to put them on. i would recommend taking it to a shop and having them do it.
muggs
That's what I was afraid of. I don't have a bow press so I'm going to have to take it in. The only archery store in my area went out of business. I'm gonna have to take it to Gander...ugh, they're terrible.
okiedog
Muggs... when you do have it done have 2 or 3 extra put on at the same time. Slide the others down on the serving above the cam. They will not really effect anything. That way when one breaks or becomes cracked you can just slide a new one up in its place. Yea I'm not a big fan of having to get service done at a place like Gander MTN or Dick's Sporting Goods. most of the people that work there have no clue what they are doing. perfect example, i was in Bass Pro a few weeks ago and was standing in the Bow section looking around and happen to here a gentleman ask one of the workers what the difference was in the Bowmadness xs and xl models. the guy told him that the only difference was the ATA length. he didnt say anything about the IBO speeds or riser height. which are alot more important then ATA length.
