Maine Hntr
I'm from the Northeast so it's not effecting us here (that I know of), but I have seen it all over the hunting shows and talked to someone I know yesterday that hunts South Dakota and the DNR closed the season where he hunts because of it... Sad to see them go like this and hopefully Mother Nature in the coming years is good to them to get habitats and populations back to where they should be. It is important too for the DNR's to do what they need to even if it does mean closing seasons etc.
wtnhunt
Not heard any reports or any news yet this year, but figure ehd dieoffs for this year here will be fairly significant. Drought was one of the worst we have seen in a good while, last drought year comparable the reported dieoffs were in the 30% range, our warden said he thought it was probably closer to 50% that year. too_pointer
I spent 2+ years in South Dakota, and the hunting was awesome, for whitetails and mule deer. I want to go back as soon as I can. :2guns: I wish everyone a great hunt. too_
