Ethan Givan
I have an idea how old he is, but Im curious to what everyone else thinks. I blacked out his antlers so they wont distract anyone and because I want guesses to be purely based on the body. I will post the original pic of this deer later. I think some will be surprised. hoosierhunter
Age this one 2.5-3.5. Neck doesn't drop into body. Angle makes him look bigger than he is.
Ravin R10 man
Im going to say 4.5 at the oldest..could be 3.
wtnhunt
Overall body shape says 4.5 to me.
Ethan Givan
Im going to say 4.5 at the oldest..could be 3.5 Overall body shape says 4.5 to me. Yep thinking 3.5-4.5 is about right. No way this deer is 2.5, they dont come that blocky, with sagging belly, swayed back and thick rear end. Not around here anyway. There is a huge difference between this deers body and the other young 2.5 yr olds I have been getting pics of. Typical for behind the house, antlers dont match the deer. We never get good antler development back here, regardless of age.
wtnhunt
Agree, no way that is a 2.5 year old deer, gut way too full in front of the hams. Was gonna say something about the back looking slightly swayed, but could be the way the deer is standing. Sway in the back usually indicates a 5.5 year old or older. ruttinbuc
I'm saying three and a half. His front end is the indicator for me. Both with the blocky shoulders and his head in proportion to his neck. At 4 1/2 his longer waist and hips should make him look like an athlete. Born4it
First guess was 4.5 at best, but hard to tell from one angle.
