Morris
What kind of stands does everyone prefer. Single ladder, double ladder, hang on or climbers? I have a little of all, I got a climber las year and have only used it once, but would like to use it more. Trying to see what everyone thinks about climbers. MUDRUNNER
I have all types also. I prefer climbing sticks and hang on stands. I like being able to go out , climb up the tree, and be ready to hunt without the noise or hassle of a climber. That being said, I do like the comfort of a climber for longer sits. I've got a two person ladder stand also, but it was a pain to assemble put up by myself.
whitetailfreak55
I have every stand also but i would choose a hang on over anything. The single ladders are alright when you have a big enough foot platform
arrow32
tree stands. I have all types as well but my favorite stands to put up and hint out of are lock on stands. Easy to get in and out of
bbarcheryhunter
I like hang on best but the climber is by far the best to sit on a all day hunt. I have both.
Scbasshunter
I have a climber and love the mobility of it. It takes a little longer to get up a tree and as far as the noise goes, if a deer is around it's going to see you climbing regardless of what kind of stand you use. I used a hang on for the first time yesterday and love the freedom you have in it. You only have so much space in any stand but with a climber the bars kind of restrict you. I didn't care for the climbing stick on the tree because I had to take my harness off the tree to get onto the hang-on. I don't think it was set up like it should have been though (climbing sticks going above the stand so you step down onto it instead of over to it). Anywho, the climber is the most convenient cause you can just about sit anywhere you want.
Morris
tree stands. Ok. I have been seeing deer in places I don't have stands but I don't know if it is places they travel every morning or if I just happened to catch them there when I was walking back to the truck. I have a climber but I have only used it once. What would you Guys do on this situation. Do I keep hunting me stands I have up and not worry about where I saw them this morning(which was the first time I have seen them there) or do I suspect there everyday. I saw them in between 9:30-10:00. So what would you guys do in this situation?
dbHunterNY
lone wolf and summit hang ons and climbers. i've got one of the lightest climbers you can get and it's very useful and easy to carry in and out.
