stevebeilgard
on november 4, i have a child from the catch a dream foundation, coming to wyoming for an elk hunt. past hunts have been fun and successful, but who knows what this year may bring. well, actually, i have a pretty good idea.... lol anyway, when on hilltops i can send pictures and messages. but, to who?? ben, are you there? anyone? i'd like a couple of folks ready to post as things happen. two years ago, it happened pretty fast. but, this is a hunt for big elk and it may take days or all week. some of you have seen my ranch and know how tough it really is, and how fun it can be. when i was out with kaeden last saturday, we only saw 2 bulls i'd have shot. they are a bit skitterish this year. but, that's o.k. i think i can outsmart them. heavy on the catch word, "think". lol anyway, anyone willing to work on november 5, opening morning? maybe all week, but most likely not. there is also a constant weather concern about blizzards that time of year. that alone could put the hunt off by 3-4 days. but my end result will be a 6 x 6 or larger bull. :toot: my hunter this year is 18 years old. that's about all i know as of now. stevebeilgard
thanks, ben. please pm me your phone number and we'll put you on top of the list. hey, while the Make a Wish foundaiton is a good cause, it's also very political. they allon NO HUNTING OR FISHING. so,it's not about what a sick kid wants, it's about the politics of hunting. CATCH A DREAM only takes children who want to go hunting or fishing. this is a very major thing to me, as is hunting. and when i get a call or letter from the make a wish folks, i be sure to point out why i'll give them not a cent. stevebeilgard
thanks, corey and ben. pm's sent back. i'm really looking forward to this hunt. i had a blast when i was outfitting. every day we's shoot nice deer & antelope, and once a year i'd get a couple of elk. i had more fun guiding folks than pulling the trigger myself. heck, my truck bed is loaded ready for elk camp, and that's 10 days until i leave. i guess hunting is in the blood... wtnhunt
Awesome what you do with these kids Steve, and great under the recent circumstances that you are able. Look forward to following along, and I think you can outsmart the elk, just watch out for those little holes with your truck.
