Adjam5
I was up at my country house/hunting camp this weekend in NY's lower Catskill mtns. Region 3H. I have a routine of putting out dinner scraps and either watching a Opposum or a Grey Fox come eat it. Little did I know who would come to dinner. Look at the time of the pics! It had to be watching me. 8 minutes difference...Wow. I wasn't running far in those flip flops. I'll tell ya that much. The food scraps outside the kitchen practice is over! 12ga stays by door now. All the attibutes of a big boar. Stubby legs...Small ears. Hes a shooter. In NYS you cannot carry a gun during archery season. Even if you have a full carry concealed permit. Better make that arrow count huh? The Grey Fox
ruttinbuc
LOL, I don't think your best running shoes would have made a difference either, Anthony. One heck of a bear!

too_pointer
Where did you take the pic, in your house ? Pretty cool, they always knock down birdfeeders around my neighborhood, so table scraps would really attract them ! too_

VermontHunter
DANG !! We can't carry a firearm during our archery season either, and I've been tip toeing around a young black bear going to my stand in the mornings, definately a very tence feeling to say the least. Love the pic of the grey fox ...
Jeramie
I would be putting out the scraps and sitting close by with a bow!

PotashRLS
Dandy bear indeed. If you are concerned, get some bear spray for bowhunting if you can't carry a firearm. I doubt though that he'll give you any issues. Just don't throw any small children out there after supper.
Adjam5
Where did you take the pic, in your house ? Pretty cool, they always knock down birdfeeders around my neighborhood, so table scraps would really attract them ! too_ That was a trail cam pic set up right outside my front door. Just bought it that day and was testing it. My bird feeder has been knocked down a few times when I have come up. But always thought it was the squirrels. The bear has been murder on my apple trees and he has been leaving me piles of yellow dumps all over laden with apple skins and seeds. I found a spot in the pines that literally has 40 to 50 piles of bear crap all over. Once I realized what I was looking at...I felt like Bugs Bunny..." ever get the feeling you was being watched?"...I high tailed it out of there. Hopefully myself, one of my sons or even my friend from the Hill country(who is hunting with me this year) gets a shot at this big boy. Adjam5
Are you wearing a kilt?! :clown: No John...I am not wearing a kilt. But I have to admit. It does look like that. I was in boxers, flip flops and a old cutoff plaid shirt. No dress code in the country:p BTW...I havent mastered the multi quote thing yet. wtnhunt
BTW...I havent mastered the multi quote thing yet. Just click the "+ below the posts you want to quote Anthony then click on reply to thread. Yeah looks like a good sized bear to me too and agree with Mike, don't think it would make much difference between running shoes and flip flops.
