Scbasshunter
This is what I was hunting this evening and didn't see a single deer til right at dark behind me. I'm stumped. Don't see how at least 1 deer wouldn't come out.
robbiethekid
Where are the deer? If the moon was bright, they'll walk more at night. If the moon is dim, better hunt the evenin. Check your moon phases for the month. Might be why you're having trouble. A bright moon will make em move later
whitetailfreak55
I know I've seen one buck since hunting hard from opening day
stevebeilgard
game animals are getting smarter. big deer are turning nocturnal all over. early mornings or late evenings have always been the best. to hunt big deer during the day, you'll have to go into the dark, cool timber, aka their bedroom. chances of seeing them 1st are slim, but chances of seeing them elsewhere are slimmer. hoosierhunter
Where are the deer? I've hunted 6 times this year without seeing a deer already. It happens. If you see them every time it probably means you have too many of them around.

WStreblo
Where are the deer? One thing I always try is besides the moon phases, watch the weather. If a storm is coming I'd be hunting. Maybe not out in the fields but near an oak flat down in the woods. I shot my biggest buck (need to get a pic of him on here he scored 181) when we had a full moon and the weather was coming. I got on stand late that morning around 945. He slipped in on them acorns a little past 11am and he got a ride in my Chevy silverado. Rhino
That's not really unusual for this time of the year. Some call it the October lull. So far I've hunted 9 afternoons & 2 mornings. Didn't see deer on 3 hunts & a couple of the hunts when I saw deer it was just 1. The 3 hunts when I got skunked and the single deer sighting hunts were all warm days. Decent pre-rut activity should be just around the corner.
Turkeygirl
You might want to start reading up on deer behavior....nothing in the wild is certain....hunting isn't always about killing something, or seeing what you are hunting... Benjinail
Check here. We have a huge acorn crop this year.
PriceRacing35
Where are the deer? Well if y'all see a big 10. About 135-140". Put him down. I guessed 40. Ranged it after at 48. I'm sure ill never see him again. I had just got set up and sat down. He was at 70yards within 2 minutes of me being settled. It was barely 7:00am.
