This is crazy it's on the discovery channel. This guy is going to jump out at 120000 feet they say he will get up to over 600 miles per hour and break the world record for free fall dive. There ain't no way is sky dive but the heck with that.

The temperature at the altitude he is at now is like 91 below zero.

That's crazy

I read something that said he got up to 833 mph. I wonder if that was supposed to be 733 as during is descent the meter showed low 700s. Either way that is incredibly fast.

Saw this morning where they said he reached 833.9 mph so what you saw was right. That's crazy fast.

Heard about it, but missed it. Spent the afternoon after church with my younger two daughters out shooting a couple different rifles to be sure my 11 year old is ready for the upcoming youth hunt. Had a lunch at church so we did not get home til around 2. Also spent some time with my oldest daughter and her boyfriend with some good q&a on archery and general deer hunting.

Wasn't he supposed to break the sound barrier too ?

too_

Yes sir and he did. 833.9 mph or Mach 1.24. First person to break the sound barrier with their body.

128,100' exit altitude

4:20 free fall time

119,846' free fall distance

833.9 MPH free fall

MACH 1.24

Not really, I can do that after a 6-pack of beer and and a 12-pack of White Castle crispy jalapeño sliders without leaving my chair :toot:

Did anyone hear HOW he came out of the spin???...I want to know what he did to stop it...thats about all I was interested in....I heard him say he tried his arms etc...and he must of had an extremly strong drag chute...and what was the "G's" did he have slowing down when he pulled it?

good points... under normal circumstances you get yanked pretty hard when the chute opens.
