Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Post em up. I'm looking for some good, simple recipes for deer camp. I'm kind of weird when it comes to some things. Like I like the flavor and taste that onions and peppers give off, but I don't like to eat actual onions or peppers . Yeah I'm weird like that lol. Recipes with those are fine, I can just cut them in larger chucks so that I can pick them out Right now I just keep it simple, cut some into cubes and cook it, then later throw some taters and carrots in there. dbHunterNY
i've made chili in the crockpot. i try to stick to using ground venison or roasts when cooking in a crock pot. chunks or pieces of meat seem to get cook to well done and lose favor to only that of what it's cooked in. that's my opinion. i'll try to remember and dig up some recipes when i'm home and have some time. redkneck
Lots of them to list, but a crock pot is the best way to get all the meat off the neck, just give it a good rub with your favorite stuff, cook all night on low, get up in the morning and chop up some taters, onions, carrots and such, go hunting, come back and eat.\ Also good to cut up some steaks, dredge in flour and seasoning, fry hot and fast to get a good crust on them, then drop in the crock pot on low overnight with some water, cream of mushroom, onion, seasonings, cream of celery (or onion) and let it ride. Make biscuits in the morning, maybe some rice as well, and sop it up!!!!
