Morris
The only day I can hunt this week is tomorrow because my weekend is packed full already. The only thing is from 3 till 5 the wind is going to be any where from 21-23 mph a f after that its going to drop to the teens. Will it be worth going? What do you guys think or do on real windy days?
Ethan Givan
As long as the wind is the right direction for the stand you are going to hunt I would definitely hunt. Sounds like you are getting a big cold front to push through with the temps tanking like that. Deer usually move well right before and after a front pushes through. Scbasshunter
hunting wind I have seen/shot and seen people shoot deer in high winds. A good buddy of mine shot a 9pt last year on an extremely windy day. As the old saying goes: "You won't see any deer sitting on the couch." WStreblo
hunting wind It will make for a nasty sit that's for sure... Deer will try to hold where they are at. Wind will be blowing scent so hard they can't trust their noses, leaves will be moving and trees will be swaying so those deer can't rely on their hearing or sight as much. Wait it out and if once that front moves thru and the wind dies I think if your in an established food source and the wind is good you will be guttin and draggin! Morris
hunting wind How long do you wait to hunt a stand if you spook deer at that stand site.
WStreblo
hunting wind I'd say it depends on how bad you spooked them. I've been busted and the next day killed from that same stand. If your worried about it is wait 2 or 3 days
