Trevor
I bought a Hunters Safety Systems vest today. The harness that came with my tree stand was very uncomfortable. I wore the vest harness tonight and was comfortable I still need to adjust a little but a great product.

Strut10
Just got a HSS vest this season. Sure beats the heck out of trying to unravel the spaghetti on the old standard harness that comes with the treestand !!!!!
redkneck
I got a muddy for my birthday. Wanted the hss vest, but glad wife got me the muddy, easy to put on, light, but mostly it's way too hot early season for a vest.
Ravin R10 man
HSS also makes a light weight vest for early /warm weather
dbHunterNY
lots of good points.... i've worn the HSS Pro Series harnesses now for years. Will never go back. I also had a hard time keeping the adjustment on the TMA harnesses that come with stands. The HSS harnesses i've used seem to keep their adjustment and not loosen up. Also their sized to fit a certain range, so no long tag ends hanging off you when you tighten things.

It was a nice harness. It didn't fit though. Ended up giving it to a friend that's just gotten into hunting. She seems to really like it with no concerns. VermontHunter
I have a HSS thats like new, it just seems not to fit right and feels bulkie to me. So don't use it at all. I just couldn't ever get use to it. I would love to try the light weight HSS vest, but it's just too expensive for my budget just to buy and not like it .. and have it sit in the closet like the vest I have now. I just couldn't ever get use to it. Same here. Mine is a few years old and has the bigger seat belt buckles. Just doesn't feel right. The newer models look a little better. I bought my daughter a new Muddy harness since it was cheaper then the HHS, and it's nice.
bbarcheryhunter
I love the safety vest I got from sportsman guild last year fits great and has a tow rope in the back to drag deer. Wen u hunt as far back in as we do that's a real bonus
Adjam5
I use a HSS vest type harness when I am in my Summit. Very easy to get on. I also wear a harness at work just about daily, and it is no way like the harness' we use at work. Wearing what I do at work, and then when I wear the HSS, it feels like I am not wearing a vest at all. I dont feel like the HSS will protect me like my harness does at work when I am 85' in the air. But I know they do tests and these products are proven. Keep in mind all... These vests and harness' ALL have a build and experation date on the tag. Most warranties expire on that date and the shock arresters that are sewn in(on hunting vests) deteriorate in that time. DO NOT USE A EXPIRED HARNESS OR SAFTEY BELT. Your life could depend on it. Replace it if it is old. Don't chance it guys. Edited October 26, 2012 by Adjam5 grammer
